Triathlon Transition and Racing Checklist

Swim

  • Swimsuit
  • Wetsuit
  • Goggles clear or dark lenses - defogger
  • Lubricant for wetsuit and on body
  • Swim cap
  • Stretch chords – if no water warm up
  • Towel for after warm up

Bike
  • Bike
  • Gears adjusted and bolts tightened
  • Bike shoes
  • Helmet
  • Race wheels – correct psi
  • Water bottles w/ appropriate drink
  • Energy source taped on the bike
  • Sunglasses clear or dark lenses
  • Spare tire and CO2 cartridge

Run

  • Race shoes w/ elastic laces
  • Visor/hat
  • Lubricant in heel and toe area if not wearing socks
  • Race number w/ pin or race belts
  • Energy for the run

Transition Area

  • Energy source
  • Sunscreen
  • Extra full water bottle
  • Baby powder/towel or other marker for area
