PACKAGE 1 - PERSONALIZED COACHING

Athletes have a start-up phase. This typically takes 7-10 days and involves an investment of time for coach and athlete.

  • Review athlete history and goals
  • Establish key milestones for meeting goals
  • Identify personal weaknesses and strengths
  • Identify and prioritize race season
  • Construct program for training and racing
  • Identify HR training zones for cycling and running
  • Identify pace training zones for swimming

After start-up is complete we will continue with:

  • Personalized service by one of the most experienced and knowledgeable triathletes in the world.
  • Annual Training Plan mapped with your long term goals
  • Monthly plan that covers monthly, weekly and daily workouts
  • Each workout has a specific purpose
  • Consistent dialogue through e-mail and limited phone conversations
  • Allows for feedback to your physical and mental state and provides the information to make adjustments to training
  • One of only a limited number of clients allowed
  • A coach who realizes that the physical training is only part of achieving goals
  • Use of Trainingbible.com software
  • Review training in previous period

$495 a month with a four-month minimum. You can receive a 10% discount if paid for five or more months. If you are not satisfied after four months, then the rest of the balance will be returned to you.


PACKAGE 2- 12 Week Training Plan

Athletes have a start-up phase. This typically takes 7-10 days and involves an investment of time for coach and athlete.

  • Review athlete history and goals

  • Identify and prioritize race season
  • Construct program for training and racing
  • Identify HR training zones for cycling and running
  • Identify pace training zones for swimming

After start-up is complete we will continue with:

  • Twelve week plan that covers monthly, weekly and daily workouts
  • Daily workout details include target intensity and duration
  • Biweekly phone review of progress
  • Weekly e-mail contact to monitor progress and answer questions
  • Access to Trainingbible.com

Package 2 is useful for the athlete who requires limited guidance. Unless mutually agreed, there is no continuing obligation for athlete or coach. Fees are payable in advance at $800. Every twelve week period after that is $600. You'll find me flexible on the frequency of on-going feedback but I'd ask your patience with response times as my monthly clients come first.

I do feel really good about this year training-wise. I learned a ton and stayed injury free. I also feel like I've seen some really solid improvement in my fitness with the program you put together over the season and am excited to see how far we can take that over time. Mentally, I think I finally have the open-water-swim monkey off my back. I'm disappointed in myself for bailing on all those races mid-season. But I learned a few things about myself there too (some of which I don't particularly care for).

I'm looking forward to the off-season of training and a big year of racing in 2004. I'll be joining the old men age group-wise so hopefully I'll be able to stir it up a bit with them. I've really enjoyed working with you these past 6 months or so (is that all it's been?). I have complete confidence in you as a coach, and just really like you as a person. Thanks for getting me this far along. With your guidance, I'm confident I can see a lot more improvement before the years start taking it back.
